Brainkind Ty Aberdafen is a neurological centre in Llanelli, South Wales providing innovative rehabilitation and person-centred support to enable people to thrive after a brain injury. We ensure that the people we support live as independently as possible in an environment that enhances their wellbeing.
Situated in Llanelli south wales, Wales, Tŷ Aberdafen offers flexible options of specialist care and support for people with acquired brain injury and complex needs. Support options at Tŷ Aberdafen include day care and support, getting ready for life at home, longer-term care and support, and independent living options.
Our specialist rehabilitation is based on a neuro-behavioural approach and focuses on enabling people to function more independently and develop their lives as they choose. The multi-disciplinary team has specialist assessment and therapy rooms to aid individuals in recovery and independence.

The people we support are actively involved in reviewing their progress against agreed outcomes, and we promote the involvement of families in the rehabilitation process. Home leave is encouraged wherever possible.
Access to the wider community is integral to rehabilitation and supporting wellbeing. Brainkind Ty Aberdafen is less than 10 miles from Junction 38 of the M4 and a quarter of a mile from Llanelli town centre. This gives the people we support access to a wide range of amenities including shops and a post office as well as GP and dental surgeries. Meanwhile, the large local leisure centre includes a swimming pool, indoor bowling, and a football pitch.
