Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek 2027

From the madness of Delhi to the beauty and tranquillity of the Indian Himalaya, this unique expedition is the perfect introduction to India.

Follow the Uhl River, through the heart of the world’s highest mountain range in Dharamsala, where the Dalai Lama and the centre of the Tibetan community are located. A pristine and unspoilt area to explore.

We have partnered with Charity Challenge to offer our first overseas challenge to raise funds to help us support people with brain injuries and neurological conditions to live better lives.

The Challenge

  • Trek in the Indian Himalayas
  • Witness spectacular mountain scenery on this 5-day trek
  • Explore Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries and Tibetan Life
  • A route rarely trekked, resulting in an area of pristine and unspoiled beauty
  • Optional extension to your trip to visit the Taj Mahal, Keoladeo National Park & Fatephur Sikri

Registration Fee – £449 (non-refundable)

Fundraising Options Available

Option 1: Minimum Fundraising
Registration Fee – £449 (to be paid by the participant)
Min. Fundraising – £4,050 for Brainkind

Option 2: Flexi
Registration Fee – £449 then a further £449 to Charity Challenge 10 weeks prior to departure (to be paid by the participant)
Min. Fundraising – £3,135 for Brainkind

Please note for Options 1 and 2 – Brainkind will pay the balance of the trip and Brainkind benefits by keeping the remaining sponsorship money and every pound over and above that you raise.

Option 3: Self Funding
Registration Fee – £449 (to be paid by the participant)
Balance £1,985 to Charity Challenge 10 weeks prior to departure (to be paid by the participant)
Min. Fundraising – £1,000 for Brainkind

Location – India

Level of Difficulty – Challenging

You will trek an average of 15km – 20km per day.

You will go to high altitude and reaching a maximum altitude of 3000 metres above sea level.

You will trek through unique remote areas in which you will see no other tourists or trekkers.

You will stay in lodges with very basic facilities, or camping.

How Brainkind will support you on your Challenge

  • This event is a closed challenge for 15 to 30 people supporting Brainkind
  • You’ll receive your own Brainkind t-shirt
  • Fundraising tips and resources to help reach your goals
  • Support from our Fundraising team and a Brainkind representative will join the challenge and provide support throughout
  • A medal and certificate on completion of the challenge
