As part of Headway’s #BudgetforBrainInjury, we urge the government to commit funding to improve and expand brain injury services ahead of the upcoming 2023 Autumn Statement.
Chronic underfunding has meant brain injury survivors have gone without the care they need for decades.
The sector is in crisis with severe bed shortages, insufficient staff, and third-sector services collapsing nationwide. Without sufficient funding, those who desperately need support will continue to go without it.
These services transform lives.
They enable people to thrive after a brain injury, rebuilding their skills, independence, and social networks, giving them all the tools they need to flourish.
