Home > News > Well done Team Brainkind!
We wanted to update you about what an incredible weekend it was for our Brainkind team at this year’s TCS London Marathon.
Watching our six Brainkind runners take on the challenge was something really special, each of them with their own powerful story, their own reason for running, and months of training that didn’t always come easy. From early mornings to tough days, they had to push through, every step they took on marathon day reflected the journey they’ve been on, and the stories they’ve shared along the way.
To Team Brainkind – well done!
We’re so proud of our team of runners who all completed the iconic 26.2-mile route and raised an incredible £16,000 for Brainkind. Thank you for all your hard work, and for choosing us.
Thanks to Team Brainkind, we can continue to go above and beyond for the people we support across our services. The funds they’ve raised through taking part will have a real impact for the people we support living with brain injuries and other neurological conditions.
A special message to our runners from our Interim CEO, Chris Askew:

And whilst the race might be over, you can still donate to their individual fundraisers! Learn more about our runners, their stories, why they chose to participate in this year’s TCS London Marathon and fundraise for Brainkind.
Got the running bug? Take part next year!
The public ballot for the 2027 is officially closed, and you’ll find out whether you’re successful in early July this year.
If you do secure a coveted place, why not consider running for Brainkind?
If you’re not lucky enough to secure a place through the public ballot, we’ll have a limited number of spaces available for our 2027 team.
And if the London Marathon feels a little way off, we still have a couple of spaces left for the AJ Bell Manchester Half Marathon on 31st May, so if you’re keen to get started sooner, we’d love to hear from you.
