The Neurological Care Centre – Lancashire’ is a specialist neurological care centre based in Fulwood, Preston. The centre is both a Nurse and Therapy led service providing specialist neurological rehabilitation, palliative and complex care. We have a fully integrated multi-disciplinary; consultant led neurological rehabilitation team, on site. We aspire to be a great place to work and a centre of excellence.
Specialism: Acquired brain injury and a range of other neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis.
Our vision is to provide dedicated holistic care so that we can optimise, physical, social, psychological and the vocational potential of all our clients supporting them to attain the highest level of personal and social independence to maximise their quality of life.
We want to create the space and opportunity for our clients to make their life the best it can be, based on their wishes, choices, and experiences. We will achieve our vision by always being the best we can be within the resources we have, constantly pushing the boundaries, doing the right thing, and making the future better than the present.
Our facilities include 40 fully accessible en-suite rooms, with ceiling track hoists and four single bedroom fully accessible bungalows also with ceiling track hoists, an onsite hydrotherapy pool, remedial gymnasium, rehabilitation kitchen, activities room, sensory gardens and front of house café.

This purpose-built residential rehabilitation centre opened in April 2020 and offers a safe and comfortable environment for the people we support to thrive, maximising independence and supports their social and emotional needs.
The centre is equipped with a wide range of facilities to help support the delivery of our expert care, including a dedicated rehabilitation kitchen fitted with appliances and utensils specially adapted to aid those who are undergoing therapy. A hydrotherapy pool and dedicated gym.
There are 40 fully accessible ensuite bedrooms, large airy lounges and dining areas. Our chefs prepare fresh menus designed to meet a wide range of dietary needs. Tailored rehabilitation programmes are delivered within a dedicated occupational therapy kitchen.
The people we support can enjoy arts, crafts, and music groups in the activity room.
Our specialist commissioned rehabilitation service is based on a neurological consultant, holistic therapeutic allied health professional and nursing led approach and focuses on enabling people to function more independently and develop their lives as they choose.
The multidisciplinary team has specialist assessment and therapy rooms to aid individuals in recovery.

This is a dedicated 25 bed long term nursing support offering a long term placement and or end of life for people with a wide range of long term neurological conditions who require nursing interventions for a range of other neurological conditions such as Motor Neuron Disease, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis and acquired brain injuries.
We specialise in neurological rehabilitation and the rehabilitation and ongoing long-term support of people with a range of other neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, motor neurons disease and multiple sclerosis (list is not exhaustive)
