Home > News > Brainkind appoints Andy Cole OBE as Chief Executive Officer
Andy brings extensive leadership experience from across the health and social care sector. He joins Brainkind from Royal Star & Garter, where he currently serves as Chief Executive. He also holds the position of Chair of the National Care Forum and has previously led the charity Bliss as Chief Executive, alongside holding senior leadership roles at Leonard Cheshire.
His appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Brainkind as the organisation continues its mission to support people with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Commenting on his appointment, Andy said:
“I am thrilled to be joining Brainkind as Chief Executive in November. Brainkind is an organisation deeply committed to making a difference to the lives of people who have experienced brain injury, and I am truly honoured to be stepping in to lead such an innovative and dedicated organisation.
“Brainkind has a bright future, and I am excited about what we can achieve together: supporting more people, sharing our expertise and knowledge, and growing the impact we make every day.”
Andy will succeed Interim Chief Executive Officer Chris Askew and will work closely with colleagues, people supported by Brainkind, families and partners across the sector to further strengthen the organisation’s services and reach.
Brainkind looks forward to welcoming Andy and supporting him as he leads the charity into its next phase of growth and impact.
