At Ty Aberdafen, we work to provide innovative rehabilitation and ongoing support to enable people to thrive after a brain injury. We aim to make sure that everyone can live independently as they can in an environment that enhances their well-being.
Specialism: Acquired brain injury rehabilitation.
Situated in Llanelli south wales, Wales, Tŷ Aberdafen offers flexible options of specialist care and support for people with acquired brain injury and complex needs. Support options at Tŷ Aberdafen include day care and support, getting ready for life at home, longer-term care and support, and independent living options.
The main centre comprises eighteen ensuite bedrooms. It also contains two independent living flats and four fully furnished self-contained apartments. Two fully equipped rehabilitation kitchens support individuals to regain their daily living skills.
Our specialist rehabilitation is based on a neuro-behavioural approach and focuses on enabling people to function more independently and develop their lives as they choose. The multi-disciplinary team has specialist assessment and therapy rooms to aid individuals in recovery and independence.

The people we support are actively involved in reviewing their progress against agreed outcomes, and we promote the involvement of families in the rehabilitation process. Home leave is encouraged wherever possible.
Ty Aberdafen is less than 10 miles from Junction 38 of the M4 and a quarter of a mile from Llanelli town centre, which has a variety of amenities, including shops, a post office, GP and dentist surgeries. A large leisure complex nearby includes a swimming pool, indoor bowling, and a football pitch.
