About Twyford Lane

Twyford Lane offers accommodation with 24-hour shared support from our specially trained staff teams. We support people to develop their person-centred support plan, which embraces their lifestyle choices and includes input from family members and professional stakeholders involved in their care.

Twyford Lane offers attractive and accessible accommodation for nine people. En suite bedrooms are complimented by spacious communal areas, which include separate living room areas with smart TVs, kitchen diners, and utility rooms.

People we support enjoy access to a wide range of therapeutic and recreational activities and a large garden which is communal and shared privately between the three properties.

Our rehabilitation models

We work with people with a range of cognitive, physical, and/or emotional symptoms following a severe brain injury. Support provided is based on a neuro-behavioural approach. It focuses on enabling service users to function more independently and to participate in as many of their previous roles and activities as possible while developing their lives with privacy, dignity and respect.

The programme may include:

  • Educational and therapeutic sessions
  • Support for personal, social, and domestic skills
  • Guided leisure time
  • Behavioural management
  • Community access
  • Vocational support and training

Becoming more independent

Access to the wider community forms an important part of the rehabilitation journey, and Twyford Lane proximity to local shopping areas, GP surgeries, dentists, hairdressers, local takeaways and restaurants, as well as leisure facilities and easy access to Central Milton Keynes, make it ideally situated for community integration. These locations also offer opportunities for education, training, and work placements.
