Brainkind publishes Gender Pay Gap report for 2021-2022

LAST UPDATED 10 / 10 / 2023
Following analysis of data for the year 2021-2, Brainkind (formerly The Disabilities Trust) has published its gender pay gap report.

The data shows that, when looking at a representative sample of staff, we have a mean gender pay gap of 1.91%, against a national average of 7.9%. Women are paid an average of £14.08, and men an average of £14.35.

Naomi Carey, Director of People and Organisation Development, said: “We are really pleased that our mean gender pay gap is far below the national average.

“Whilst males and females have the same rates of pay for the same roles, there are a number of variables that impact this, including that men are usually more able to take on additional sleep-in shifts which increases their average pay.

“We continue to be committed to doing all we can to ensure equality for everyone working at Brainkind.”
