Home > News > Thank you to Irene Sobowale and an update from our Chair of Trustees, Kathryn Greenberg
As announced yesterday evening by Irene Sobowale, our Chief Executive, she will step down from her role. Irene has been an integral part of Brainkind for over 12 years and has made a significant contribution in various roles during that time, leading the organisation through periods of change and challenge. The Board is grateful for her commitment and service to the charity and to the people we support and we wish her well in her next steps.
The Board has great confidence in the professionalism, compassion and dedication of our staff and we will be working with our senior leadership team to support the running of the organisation whilst we recruit a new permanent Chief Executive.
There is no change to our services or contracts, or to our commitment to people living with brain injury and other neurological conditions. That commitment remains at the heart of everything we do and we believe these senior leadership changes will be key to the long term success, development and sustainability of our organisation.
