Commenting on the sad passing of Terry Yorath, Irene Sobowale, CEO of Brainkind, said:
“We were saddened to hear of the passing of Terry Yorath. Terry was a dedicated supporter of Brainkind for many years, alongside Christine Yorath, who served as one of our Trustees when we were known as The Disabilities Trust.
“Our neurorehabilitation service in Leeds, Daniel Yorath House, is named in honour of their son Daniel, who sadly died in 1992 aged just 15. Christine was also a Patron of the service, and their daughter, Gabby Logan OBE, continues to support Brainkind as one of our Patrons.
“In 2023, Terry led ‘Team Yorath’ at the Elliot Bransby Memorial Football Match, raising funds for a number of charities, including Brainkind Daniel Yorath House.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Terry’s family at this difficult time. Our thoughts are with them all.”
