Commenting on the news that Gabby Logan, sports presenter and Brainkind Patron, has been awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours, Irene Sobowale, CEO of Brainkind, said:
“We are thrilled that Gabby Logan, one of our Patrons at Brainkind, has been awarded an OBE for services to sports broadcasting and charity in the New Years Honours List, recognising the services and achievements of extraordinary people across the UK.
“A BBC sports commentator and former international gymnast, Gabby became a Patron of Brainkind in July 2010 and has been an active supporter of our work over the years. Daniel Yorath House, our neurorehabilitation service in Leeds, was named in honour of her brother, who sadly died at the age of 15 in 1992.
“We extend our warmest congratulations to Gabby on this very well-deserved award recognising her dedication and passion for sports communication and charitable work.”
