Recently, the wonderful team at Kent House organised a day trip to Waddesdon Manor, a National Trust stately home in Buckinghamshire, for the people we support.
Whilst there, the group got to see the Christmas decorations shining at full beam, toured the vast gardens, and learned more about the Manor’s history.
Engaging with the community is an important part of our rehabilitation programme at Brainkind. Keeping strong local ties, and relationships with the wider community, helps us put on a variety of activities and events that all positively contribute to the rehabilitation of the people we support.
Across our services, our neurorehabilitation supports people who have suffered a brain injury to regain the skills they have lost, to the best of their abilities. Our community of clinicians work with the people we support to understand the effects of a brain injury on their cognitive, emotional, physical, and social skills.
From occupational therapy to sessions with neuropsychologists, our team of specialists ensures that life after a brain injury can be a life well-lived – whatever that means to each person we support. Our person-centred rehabilitation and care focuses on increasing people’s quality of life, independence, and ability to take part in social activities.
Activities like Kent House’s trip to Waddesdon Manor help provide enrichment and strengthen our community bonds.
We have a network of services across the UK that support people with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.
Our neurological centres, residential homes, hospitals, and supported living services across the UK are there to help people wherever they are in their journey – no matter what
