Home / Get involved / Get Moving in May
It’s time to get active, have fun, and make every move count this May. However you choose to move, you’ll be helping raise funds for the people we support.
Join in and challenge yourself to Get Moving in May!
Anyone can take part. Whether you walk, run, cycle, swim, or something completely different, moving matters. The people we support will also be getting involved through activities like Tai Chi, football, chair yoga and strengthening exercises. It’s all about moving in your own way.
You can set your own distance and fundraising target, either as an individual, family, group of friends or work colleagues.
Click the Start fundraising button on our JustGiving page to start your own Get Moving in May page or show your support by donating or sponsoring someone taking part.

Physical movement has powerful benefits as part of the rehabilitation of people we support. It can increase overall health, improve flexibility and strengthen muscles. Exercise has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and boost self-esteem – so we hope everyone will enjoy this year’s challenge!
By taking part, donating or sponsoring Brainkind, you are making a big difference to the rehabilitation of the people we support. That could mean more resources, specialist equipment or more activities for the people we support.
